About
Terrance Hogan dreamt of being a big city litigator from the time he was a young adult, drawing inspiration from autobiographies about F. Lee Bailey, and other leading American trial lawyers. In 1988, he set out on a path to seek fulfillment of that dream, as he began his studies at the University of Montana School of Law. Only one of three law schools in the nation that provided a complete trial program to produce fully trained litigators at the time, Terrance received the education and training needed to allow him to be a proficient litigator for his clients over the next thirty years.
In 1991, Terrance, his wife, and their two young children packed their bags and headed West to Portland, where he passed two bar examinations within six months for both Montana and Oregon, and began working as a law clerk in downtown Portland. Throughout his extensive career practicing as a civil trial attorney, Terrance has always felt most driven by the desire to guide his clients across the finish line of their case, whether it be a personal injury or family law matter. He finds a deep sense of satisfaction in seeing the mark of his work displayed in the betterment of a client’s life, and is most proud when he is able to look back at his case and see that he resolved the matter in an expedient and successful manner.
When not practicing family law, Terrance enjoys spending his extra time being active outdoors. Never one to forget to practice gratitude for the extraordinary life he has lived thus far, Terrance does not waste an opportunity to move his body or connect with nature when the opportunity presents itself. He has enjoyed a long career in basketball, swimming, and surfing. Stating his admiration for the ocean, and the juxtaposition of being both nurturing and dangerous, Terrance feels most at peace when he is surrounded and humbled by the power of nature. Currently, his greatest passion is related to the North Shore of Kauai, where he purposes to visit twice a year to surf Hawaii’s impressive winter waves on his apoxy surfboard.
