Michael Trotter is a valued member of the Pacific Cascade Legal team, and has a passion for representing and fighting for the purported “underdog” in his legal cases.
Michael started his career working as a Compliance Officer for a healthcare agency that treated teens for substance use disorder and mental health disorders. He spent six years in this role helping teens and families in treatment, and according to Michael, this work experience helped him tremendously in his role as a family law attorney.
After graduating with his J.D., Michael spent his first year of practice focusing on criminal law and litigation, which taught him invaluable skills for settlement negotiations and litigating family law cases. Michael began developing a deep interest in family law matters, especially those relating to modification and parenting plans, and has enjoyed the shift in his career, which now focuses entirely on a wide variety of family law matters.
Michael was born in San Francisco, California, and was raised in East Oakland. He moved to the Pacific Northwest as a teenager, where he has resided ever since. Michael has a love for the great outdoors, as well as physical fitness. When asked about his favorite quote, Michael quoted Ellen DeGeneres, who said, “Procrastinate now. Don’t put it off.”
